British producer/director Derek Goodall is President of Goodwood Productions. He has
15 years UK network TV experience, primarily in documentaries and factual programs, and has filmed in 9 countries.
He is also a very accomplished live director – both studio and outside broadcast – Avid editor and cameraman.
Network credits include CBS and NBC in the US and ITV and Channel 4 in the UK.
Corporate clients include Redken 5th Avenue, Lockheed Martin and Williams Formula One motor racing team.
Derek worked regularly (2014-15) as field producer/shooter for nationally syndicated show The Doctors (CBS/Stage 29 Productions), including same-day edits, and also worked (Sept 2014) as a segment director for Dr Phil.
Our latest project is producing a series of promotion videos for GAR Tootelian, a major Ag Chemical company based near Fresno.
We’re also currently producing weekly profile videos of major songwriters for new music streaming site qWaqq, and we’ve produced our sixth annual fund-raising video (March 2018) for Seattle’s Community Lunch non-profit, who provide meals for the homeless.
Derek is also the live director for the annual Fight Night fundraiser for the Marconi Foundation for Kids, one of the biggest events in Orange County, and produces all the video material for the show and, for the last 17 years, all video production for the Marconi Automotive Museum.
Other live productions include Satellite Media Tours from the LA Auto Show for VW (2016) and GM (2015) and for Panini from the 2014 NFL Collegiate Bowl.
Derek also worked for NBC Sports as a field producer at the 2012 LA Auto Show and for Letterman (CBS) with the Foo Fighters from the 2012 Grammies.
We worked extensively for the Brunei Royal Family producing TV live event coverage (6-8 camera) of large-scale private sporting events there including polo matches with Prince Charles for the Sultan’s 50th birthday, soccer games and documentary coverage of other Royal activities including concerts with Michael Jackson.
